So my top off was turning odf before the float valve was floating on an install recently. So it would turn on run turn off after 3 mins and the float switch was still left too low to start again. The pump simply wasnt getting enough water in the tank qucikly enough. This is a safe gaurd to turn off the tank and prevent overflowing. It automatically turns off after 3 minutes. No where in the instruction manual does it tell you how to adjust this. However, if you remove the 4 screws holding the back cover in, and remove the back cover in the top center there is a screw that can be turned counter clockwise to increase the duration before it turns itself off all the way up to 14 minutes. The initial setting is 3.
