Everything tests fine? What are all your parameters?
Nitrate Phosphate Alkalinity PH Salinity Temp Mag
Are just a few things to test for for leathers. Are you using any carbon? Sometimes having too many different types of corals can result in chemical warfare "coral allelopathy". Very slight changes in Alk or PH seem to be the biggest thing to effect my leathers.

I had the same problem awhile back and it was all due to flow. Once I got the flow just hitting the top of the leather they really opened up.

Yea, some like lots of flow, some don't.

nitrate <10 ppm ph 8.2 salinity 1.020 temp 78 I do have some phosphates and will have to retreat mag and alk but both were fine a few days ago. the leathers have long tentacles that only partially come out. the small one fell off the rock and is in the back of the tank opened up more than it has been lately. maybe I'll leave it there tho I can't see it. I don't have enough flow in my tank at the moment, so not sure. My rbtas open and all my shrooms and the couple off heads of hammer, but not the trees, or my Duncan
