I have a finnex 300 and a aqua top 150 in my 75 and an eheim in my 30 and all seam to work as good as the other I can say that I like the build of the finnex the best due to the heat probe being sealed ond all of my past heater failures were from the o-rings failing around the temp adjustment screw

Thank you for the ideas. I had to make a emergency trip to petco and grabbed a cheap one to get me by for a few days. Tank went to 75 when I cough the broken heater

If you are looking for something very reliable try a Finnex titanium tube controlled by a Ranco, a little more money but it s a quality setup.

For the finnex just dont pull a scoob and drop the controller part into the water....it doesnt end well.

I personally like jagers. They are reliable for the price point

I still favor the Ranco temp controller with almost any heater. In this case the best thing in my opinion, is Ranco and 2 cheap heaters. So if one fails the other still works.
