YAY! I'm excited, I ordered 2 55 led 165w linkable dimmable units I skipped the wifi option to save money, and a jebo wavemaker with 2 powerheads wp8 I think that should allow me to remove a couple powerheads from my tank and add differentiating flow. I haven't had a wavemaker since my wave strip burnt out I cant wait. should help kill the dead spots in the aquarium by randomizing flow. not to mention cutting my power bill by ditching the metal halides. the next week is going to be the longest week of my life. Funny thing amazon offered two day shipping, with a delivery date 5 days out. How is that 2 day shipping? the standard shipping date was the same? sure i'll pay extra for that wtf NO.

Amazon is funny like that but if you have prime sometimes you can get it in the 2 days but you have to get the product from someone in there network and it might not be as cheap as one of the other guys selling on Amazon like I just ordered a new type of salt to try and I got it in the two days but it was a $1 something more big woop I save so much on other things and I had run completely out of salt

Agreed! ^^^^ the 2 day shipping really only works with things sold by Amazon. Prime makes it that much better because you get free 2 day and then it's only like $4- $5 to upgrade to 1 day shipping. I really don't know how amazon does it!

I wouldn't hesitate to order from that shipper again, holy crap. got my lights yesterday (in 2 days) without paying for 2 day shipping. Now i'm just waiting on my wave maker and mp8's.

Galaxyhydro, going to take some getting used to in comparison to my metal halides. but they seem ok. I like the tunability of color. the red bulbs i'm not so sure about I may crack the case open and disable those later on. so used to a set shade that led light where you can see red dappling messes with me. I still can't find my camera which bugs me. i'll have to go buy a new one.

Yeah you could easily switch the Reds out for some low watt UV leds and get a greater benefit from it as well. I personally would do away with the greens as well but that's just me. I think there's plenty of both red & green in your whites.

the thing is they put all the reds yellows and greens at the ends of the fixtures, so the center of the tank has a pink hue where the lights overlap. makes it look like the beginnings of cyanobacteria on the sand. It would be different if they ran them through the center to balance them out. maybe I can just move them.
and I was wrong they are not linkable I thought they were. I imagine with the wifi option I could run them both at the same time but without it I have to manually control each one insteead of pluging them together and conrolling form one. but thats ok.

Yeah Cyanobacteria is the worst! But cyano loves the green spectrum just as much. Cyano's actually a lot less picky on spectrum all around and just sucks up any and all unused light. The disco affect won't go away even if you remove the lenses. I know from personal experience with black box units. Best of luck to you.

lol I wasn';t saying it was cyano I was just saying the heavy red condesed there makes it look like cyano tinged.
I did and experiment a couple years ago where I grew cyano in closed white and blue 5 gallon buckets cyano can grow in almost no light. it's more about nutrients than light cyano is ultimately adapted to survive.
