No we only grow hybrid striped bass now. They are so much better than tilapia in terms of heat requirements.
Electricity isnt too bad, we have a commercial rate and run the lights off peak times ( early morning) and only run them to extend the day light 4-5 hrs per day.
We also really benefit from the heat that the lights give off, its pretty noticeable.

As far as I know they are the only ones with permits for these hybrid fish... But You can get permits for the blue talapia for like $25.... They are readily available all over the place
