My heater is pulling 9 amps and that relay is for 10 amps. Isn't there an 80% rule with regard to maxing out the potential of an electronic. I probably should look at 15amp relay?

Only need 3 prong if your heater uses it, I would think you would be ok with the 10amp one, they usually over rate appliances and under rate relays

Of course it will.............it has no controls in it, it's just a relay box with 2 plugs and 2 cords.
