I'm looking for a good and good looking way to attach the temp probe from my apex for an in tank application(no sump). The one from neptune seems a bit pricey and it's even clear or black(it's a combo of orange and white). I found a couple clear acrylic magnetic ones on amazon etc... but they had a lot of reviews where the acrylic cracked exposing the magnet to the tank water and rusting. Anyone have any clever tricks they've had success with?
The other thing is ; what are you guys using for floating isolation "baskets"? I've seen some people put nems in them. My problem is my bluespotted mushrooms are getting everywhere. I can trade them in which is good. but stores like them attached. So I was thinking of filling one of those floating basket with a layer of rubble and placing the loose shrooms in there to attach before trading them in. Seem reasonable? Any better way? Also what's the best way to get a shroom off of rockwork if he's landed somewhere I don't want him?

For the probe I'd look at suction cup toothbrush holers. I wouldn't trust a magnet on any cheap item. The floating basket could work but most of the time Nem's like high light and shrooms like lower light. So nem's go high and shrooms stay low. Put a Rubbermaid container on your sandbed filled with rubble. As far as the shroom on the rock, the best way for me is snippers. I have 2 pairs, 1 for rock and 1 for fragging.

You can also use a small mag float and attach the temp probe to that

If you snip them off don't they just grow back?
