I have always used combo vital and funky old reef mud f.o.r.m. in my reefs does any one still use those or is it just me?

I tried fiji mud when it was on close out. I put a bucket in my sump I have a pod rich system and havnt had any negative cinsequnces so I dont think there is anything wrong with it.
