I've had mine for over a year now, and it's doing great. It's on the sandbed in a moderate flow area, and seems to be happy. It's growing and looks great..........but that could change at any moment. They are called a throw away coral for a reason.

I got one from Petco when I bought most of their stock before the renovation. It wasn't open then and never has. Still has color and I don't think it's 'dead' but it certainly isn't doing well. I've never seen even one polyp.

Green ones tend to adapt to captive environments better then others I believe? I've had a Ora Red and blue for about 9 months and it's happy and growing. A lot of people say magnesium is a important element for gonipora if I'm remembering correctly?
