Anyone using this the Maxspect on a tank ? I was thinking of getting one . Syntax is and I used to. I regret selling mine so yes it's a great investment. Nothing on the market moves more water so gently and efficiently with only one unit.

Nice good to hear that . I have a 40 gal Breeder so it's all I should need . I was thinking of putting a power head opposite of the gyre to give it more variety

In a 40 breeder you'll be hard pressed to add another pump to the opposite side. Even with the smaller model xf-130 it's still gonna be a really powerful unit for that size tank. Unless your setting up a Full sps tank?

The gyre is working for me so well that I'm going to get another. The flow pattern resembles a wave moving through the tank, nice laminar flow. A single 130 is all you will need most likely.
