You need to star in a reality show called "Reef Rescue". I'd watch it!

So here’s a well overdue update on the Benedict reef. We’ve had a bit of an expansion this winter. We went from two tanks two four tanks now. The 210 reef now has a tagged on 150 gallon tank which currently houses a school of twelve chalk bassets and will eventually have seahorses as well. I’ve got an Ecotech vectra L1 pump driving both reef tanks and a super reef octopus SRO 5000 space saver skimmer and refugium in the sump now. Also added just before Christmas was the fluval V freshwater aquarium to compliment the freshwater goldfish coffee table aquarium.

How do all of the chalk bass get along? I’ve always liked them. All tanks look great!

Another update to the Benedict reef. The 150 tag on tank is pretty much fully stocked. It’s leaning heavily on being a Caribbean inspired tank and will house a number of seahorses eventually.

Excellent! I’m partial to a Caribbean theme🙂. I see a cherub angel in your future.

Excellent! I’m partial to a Caribbean theme🙂. I see a cherub angel in your future. A cherub angel would look great in there but it’s unlikely. I’m hoping to get some pearly jawfish in there at some point. The main fish in the tank are the school of chalk bass for now. There’s also a black cap basslet and a few small gobies as well. Once the seahorses are in and we can see how they do and adapt to the tank is when we will determine what else to add. The biggest issue is going to be keeping the seahorses well fed.

The Benedict reef! First pic is October 2015 when I first laid my eyes on this tank. Second pic is March 30th 2020. What an amazing transformation this system has got through. Attachments:

Doesn't even look like the same tank.

Technically it’s not lol. The first tank blew a seam and had to be replaced. Same stand and same location though.
