Okay so what should I do? The coral beauty I got from LA 13 days ago just keeps swimming back and forth. It had ick, but the cleaner shrimp took care of that. He doesn't eat. Just hides and comes out like every 10 minutes, swims back and forth several times, and then hides again. My guess is that it probably won't make it long term. Do I call for refund or not (14 days ends tomorrow)?

What are you ring to feed it? Do you have any rocks in your sump with lots of Sponges? Angels love sponges and it could help kick start him back to eating again? Also a finicky angel sometimes just needs the right food to get started so don't keep feeding the same things. Find what he likes by variety. Are you feeding dry food or frozen? If it's not the latter it should be. Live might be even better although a PITA. Good luck!

I've tried flake, frozen mysis, frozen bloodworms, and frozen formula one. He acts like he's gonna eat it but doesnt

I'd call and tell them it's not eating at all and is just withering away. On another note if you want to try one last thing I'd attempt sponges and possibly live brine.

Live blackworms are pretty irresistible as well.

I've only gotten them online myself, but worth checking around to see if one of the shops carries them. Alternatively I'd go out and dig up some earthworms and pick the tiniest ones, wash them and give them a try.

I could never find live black worms around here, ended up ordering them. There are only a few sellers.

13 days he's eating something, probably pods in the tank, or picking whats drifting, but no fish is going to make it 13 days not eating at all. if you can get your hands on live pods quick pump em into the tank {what you do with the company is up to you you can e-mail them call them etc see what they say} how established is your tank? (how old how much rock etc?)

saw your post about the GD (lol by the way doesnt that suck ripping apart stuff for one fish). by the pictures and the spirorbid worms on the walls the green haze on the glass, the micro bubbles forming in the sand bed I would guess your tank is nearing 8 month or less. so its not brandy new but not mature yet either and it looks like plenty of rock probably some benthic life in the rock work for him to feed on. I wouldnt panic but I would contact the seller and see what they think while offering anything you can even Roe if you can get your hands on it (warning roe is fatty oily food)

Ok so its been over 3 weeks now. He's still doing the same thing. My guess right now is that he's eating the amphipods I collect every weekend. Tank was set up using VERY mature rock and sand(w/ new) back in either March or April.
