Petco in south portland is 50% livestock today and 70% off tomorrow. Guess there putting in new tanks.

There is quite a good selection still when I was there today. The fish I was wanting now has inch and is in a quarantine tank so go figure. That being said I wish I had a quarantine tank set up because they will take any donation amount for the fish that are being quarantined. |

did you notice what they had for inverts? They had Snails, Shrimp, Crabs, Starfish, Urchins, Anenome
Call and ask for Chi he can tell you what specific types they have.

I stopped by after work yesterday, and the selection is getting very slim.
I grabbed 10 - snails and 10 - crabs, which should have come out to $10 after the discount, but she only charged me $1.69.....don't know how she did that but she did.
QT tank is 75% off as a donation, so basically the fish in there are like $8 each. Still a couple of tangs, coral beauty, and another one.
No shrimp left, a few clowns and dottiebacks, definitely slim pickings but there is stuff left.

I just bought $216 worth of frags. Guess what I paid?....wait for it....$23.74. Yes, they discounted my frags $187.45
ORA Strawberry Shortcake Acro $49.99 (I already had one but couldn't beat the price)
ORA Plum Crazy Acro $39.99
ORA Green Planet Acro $49.99 - fully encrusted multiple branches
ORA Red Spongode $39.99 - huge more of a mini colony than a frag
ORA Rose Millipora $39.99 - my favorite score of the night!
None of them are colored up very well but they will be in 2 weeks under my lights. I NEVER go into Petco but was at Dick's and heard about the 50% off. Figured I'd take a look, damn did I get a steal! 75% off plus extra with my Petco card. Not sure how you guys missed these? I guess it's because people are still hesitant to get SPS???

Glad you got the score! Wish I lived closer myself because I'd of probably beat you to it. Lol not many Stick heads in Maine.
You, Lance, greg and me that's it for the most part. Although I think there's others that may start getting back into them.

Glad I finally beat you to a deal :-) Lol I think you could probably beat me to most deals down that way. Haven't been back down since I met up with you! I stick to getting my corals shipped mostly. I saw all those ORA plugs in your tank before I saw this and was going to ask you about it, then I saw this thread.  Nice to see you back on the forum! |

I couldn't help myself, the prices were way too good to pass up. The way they were ringing items in many were free. I just wiped out just about everything they had left. Picked up 20 more frags.
They are selling tanks for donations later tonight.
