I'd like to start a conversation about your "typical" quarantine practices. I'm interested in any prep work you do to your quarantine tank, how you introduce your new livestock, how you evaluate your livestock and the products (brand name please)used and why those products were ultimately selected.

Personally, my favorite quarantine process works as follows: Acquire a nice marine specimen, preferably haddock. A quick dip in a solution of Garelick 2%, followed by a secondary dip in House Autry Spicy Breading, and then a quarantine for 5-10 minutes in a nice canola bath (I prefer Weston) at 375°.

They do suggest higher temps for qt tanks:) I keep some filter sponges in my sump at all times. When a qt tank is needed, I fill it with a little substrate, water, and the sponges from the main tank.

I tried the Tank Transfer Method with a tang I purchased from Easy last month. Fish was clean when I bought it but once it was in my QT for a few days it began to show a couple of spots of ick. I was going to try hypo but decided to give TTM a try. The fish has been in my display for a couple of weeks now and things are fine.... so far. :-) I like the idea of TTM because it only takes 12 days; however, you do use a lot of salt and water throughout the process.

I'm not familiar with the TTM... I'll have to research that one

I haven't used it yet. Haven't had a need since I read up on it. But I'm pretty sure it's what I'll use going forward.

Bayer dip for corals and the "eye test" for fish. Neither of these are the best method or 100% but they've worked for me so far. (Knock Knock) Definitely setting up a full quarantine when I get my basement! Fish and coral set ups that are always running.

I just use my 30gl as a qt. I only keep naughty fish in it and a huge decorator crab so no worries
