What is a better unit and deal? After the original purchase what company will cost less to buy from. meaning Filters/ shipping etc?
The Filters guys? BRS? Spectrapure? Coralife Pure Flo? Aqua FX Barracuda?

Thanks, tripleridge ( Ed) You can buy your replacement filters from anywhere. They all fit and some have one filter that's better then the other. Looking to buy cheap replacement filters isn't the greatest idea though. Sometimes buying cheap costs you more in the long run and this is one of those times.

what about systems home depot or lowes sell? I don't think they sell the DI and 99% of there filters are made for drinking water. I do buy my sediment filters at Lowe's sometimes though because they're all the same pretty much. At least the cheaper ones are

If your on good city water it might cut it but I would think you would won't some type of sediment filter before so your net burning up you ro-di stuff as fast

Definitely! I'm on well water and HAVE to run 2 sediment filters on mine. 1 micron and a 5 micron.
