If you're planning on posting a For Sale ad, please put your location within the sale post. Maine is a large state so knowing your location will help users quickly determine if they are still interested in your item.
Note, there is also a couple of other EASY options for setting your location that you should really consider so that you don't have to remember to add your Location to every single For Sale post that you create! If you're using the Mobile version of the site, first click the "Desktop" link at the very bottom-right of the forum, then following the quick steps below:
1. Click "My Profile" at the top of the page.
2. From your Profile page, click the "Edit Profile" button on the right of the page.
3. Click on the second tab, labeled "Personal".
4. Toward the middle of the page you'll see a Location field. Fill in your location and click the Save button at the bottom - that's it! Users will now be able to see your location by clicking on your profile name.
If you want to make it even easier for users, you can make your location appear right under your avatar on all your posts. Follow steps 1-3 above and then look for the "Most Recent Status" field - fill in your Location here, and then click the Save button at the bottom. Users will now be able to automatically see your location on every post, just under your avatar - example:
