Before the board was upgraded, there was a thread asking folks to add to your profile where your from. I love discussing things with my southern Maine friends, but most of the time anyone I'd like to do trades with are down south or of unknown origin leaving the typical question "location?" I'm seeing a lot of "new faces" around. Wondering how many of them are in my area. Any chance we can get back into adding our locations back to profiles if not screen name?

Hey Sean, thanks for the feedback. I think I accidentally deleted the sticky thread that you're referring to - I'll throw it back into the For Sale sections now to encourage people to post locations.

Personally, I like making my display name have my town in it, too. Redundancy is good. Saying the same thing twice never seems to hurt, either.

location? Im pretty sure many of you know one another and have met before or maybe even several times . I think this is an awesome site and I have learned alot . my main concern is there is no contact information on how to reach you guys . there should be something either emails or phone numbers so people can connect to arrange meetings?

That's what the forum is for, posting to someone's thread or PM'ing them should give them an email. Not saying people (including myself) won't give you that info because there's plenty of people that don't mind sharing emails and phone numbers (with the right people) but it's not something I want right on the front of my profile. |

I second Jason on that. I don't mind giving my # or email to someone in a PM if we're setting up a deal. But I don't really feel like it needs to be out there for everybody and their uncle. Even if nobody on the forum uses it, if it's public on a forum, it's public on the internet, and who needs that these days? If you need to reach me, PM me and ask for email or phone. I'm on here often enough that it works.
