I'm wondering what you guys have found cleans your glass the best. I've been using a long aquarium specific razor(kent I think) and it cleans coraline very well by the GSA type not so well. It'll get most of it off, but no matter how many passes I make over a spot it won't remove it all.

Mag float? Gotta be careful with them though because my daughter scratched the heck out of my glass! Now the front of my display looks like a sump. Probably will be my sump soon.

that's worth a try and I'm sure I have one sitting idle in one of my freshwater setups. I just assumed that if a razor blade wasn't doing it that the mag float wouldn't have enough pressure etc... to scrape it up.

It also is what I use to get coraline most of the time on the front glass because it's normally just small specs that are just starting. Back glass I use a scraper like yours when I do it lol Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

I use the flipper. If that doesn't get it razor blade will. Just be at the correct angle with the blade and it will take anything off glass.

I use a mag float on the front every day (if you do it every day ritualistically you wont develop all that hard scrub stuff) keeping above the sand by about an inch or so to avoid the sand scratches, then when the "rim" gets visible enough or irritating I hit it with a razor blade, not the pet store ones on a stick but a real utility blade for roofing. when done I rinse the blade off with freshwater and throw it in a little rubbermaid container full of rice, so it doesn't rust.
