Hello All,
I'm looking for a small Tang of some sort. , Hippo, Yellow or whatever you might have to put in a tank that all other fish are on the small size. If your looking to get rid of a tang or some other interesting smaller size fish please let me know what you have and how much you'd like for it.
Thanks Ed

Plus they need constant attention to feeding or they'll just die off

Hey Ed, what size tank do you have? That will help determine what type of tang(s) you'll have the best long term success with. Probably against the norm, but I always had good success keeping smaller tangs in tanks as small as 75G - I probably wouldn't put a giant Hippo tang in a 75g, but you get the idea.

Yes it's a 46 gallon bow front. I already want a bigger one. I had this tank set up as a fresh water set up for years, then is sat in the cellar for a few years. I think I want to up size to at least a 75 gallon but I'll see how I do maintaining this one first. Thanks for the input you all. I guess either I buy a tang and it's my excuse for a larger tank or smart thing would be is to wait till I get a larger tank. How about a Dwarf Angle or a Flame Angle? Would they be a better choice? Thanks Ed

Thanks Ed Dwarf angle would be fine in that tank as long as you don't already have a bunch of fish. Then again if you have or want to have coral make sure to proceed with caution. I've had a few different dwarf angles (getting another today!) And have had the best of luck with getting ones that don't nip at corals. Normally the damage is minimal but you never know when they'll love the taste of something and just completely devour all that you have! Lol Anyways, if I was you I'd look into some of the "dwarf" tangs (they're not really called dwarfs). They have some beautiful ones, they stay smaller and are normally less territorial. Tomani tang, Kole tang and mimic lemon peel tang I believe stays smaller? Most likely a couple more. I'd also get smaller ones and allow it to grow with your addiction because you will get a bigger tank it's almost inevitably if your already contemplating it. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards
