Would it be worth while to compile a list of all the stores in Maine that carry fish/fish supplies? Just list the store, location, and whether they sell fresh/salt/both livestock. No need to rate or bash the stores based on your personal experiences.

I think that would be a great Idea. Just store info and locations. No reviews, leave that to the other thread maybe. Might be helpful.

Ok. Here are a few I know of (some I don't remember the name and I may have the wrong town):
Crystal Family Pet, Ellsworth. Mostly fresh but some salt
THe other Ellsworth store, fresh and salt
Fosters Family Pet, Belfast. Mostly fresh, 1 salt tank
Pet Quarters, Bangor, Topsham, S. Portland. Just fresh
PetCo- Bangor, Augusta, Lewiston, Portland. Fresh and salt
Aquacorals, Fairfield. Salt only
PetsMart, Augusta. Fresh only but has some salt supplies
The Black Shark, Auburn. Fresh only ( I think)
Another small store in Auburn, fresh only
Hollenbachs (sp?), Rockland. Fresh only
Easy Aquarium, Gorham. Salt and fresh
Pet Life (used to be the Kennel Shop), Augusta, Wiscasset, Scarborough
Cultivated Reef, Orono. Salt only
Deep Sea Creations, Auburn. Fresh and salt
Pet Pro, Bangor. Fresh and salt.
Vances, Bucksport. Fresh and salt

Just a correction, Deep Sea Creations is in Auburn and pet quarters is in brunswick
Plus Easy Aquariums in Gohram

Aqua Corals Fairfield maine- salt but i dont think fresh?
Petco in Portland me salt & fresh
Pet quaters in S.Portland mostly fresh but some salt
Petco in Newington NH &Dover NH Salt and Fresh
little critters in Exeter NH & raymond NH salt & fresh

Wow! I was in there about 20 (if not more) years ago when I lived in Pittsfield. We took a family trip to NH back in November and drove out Rt 2. Saw the DOT sign and wondered if she was still open.

Plymouth Pet in New Hampshire looks like a hole in the wall place but I stopped in years ago and was blown away 3 180-220 gallon tanks full of softies, and sps like vending machines plug after plug, great prices and also some really weird/cool stuff....like and Orange Bubble Coral. There fish selection was great too, plus they have a frag selection that's very cheap, a variety of inverts, and tropic marin was $65 per pail with no sales tax...I used to buy atleast 2 each visit. It's out near the kankamangus some where I havn't been in two years but if anyone is out that way it's well worth the stop.

New England Aquarium Service in Biddeford is starting some retail sales from what I hear.
PetQuarters in S.Portland has 6 tanks of saltwater, and the rest is freshwater.
PetSmart in Biddeford is freshwater, but they have some saltwater supplies.
