I have a contract to install 2 salts in a medical facility. The first is a 24 nano it's going to be a nano reef with clowns and a nem. Next is my new project. Its going to be a 90 gallon Carribean tank because I wanted to do something new and liked Ryan's when he was going in this direction and you rarely see this on display locally. So with that said what do you all think are just haves? I'm going for hardy corals primarily gorgs and ricordias.

Is the Caribbean tank a reef or fish only? I had a fish only Caribbean tank centered around my spotfin butterfly fish. Like Ryan said, corals could include ricordia and gorgonians. Very hard to source other corals from the area. You might luck out and get some on live rock from Florida. There is also a carpet anenome from the area, and condy anenomes. Caribsea sand will work as substrate. For fishes, obviously go with cherub angels, red spotted hawkish, royal gramma, and some chromis. Perhaps even a chain link moray. don't forget snails, hermits, stars, banded corals shrimp, etc. There are a couple of places in the Keys for livestock. I have ordered from Tom's Caribbean before. Would like to see how this tank progresses.

Don't forget Caribbean Blue Tang (for color change) chalk bass are usually available at Petco. Blue head wrasse. Just a few of the fish I noticed while snorkeling in St. Marteen. After looking at availability on Toms, sounds like a fun fish and invert tank. Besides could make lighting A LOT easier!

I plan on reef. I'm doing a lot of research. Tom's looks like a great place to get many items from the region I just need to make the picks carefully.
