I'm strongly leaning towards cutting back on the number of tanks I'm maintaining in favor of fewer larger one. My thinking at the moment is a 6 foot freshwater system to replace my 55g, 2 40Bs, 29, 2 20l and 10 freshwater tanks. This will allow me some freedom in stocking choices that I've never had before. Once that transition is done I could start to prep for a larger 6foot saltwater system where the 2 40Bs are currently(they would become a sump and fuge for it)
I'm curious where you guys think the best place to pick up a bigger tank might be?

Pet Pro in Bangor has had the best prices on tanks from what I've seen. He'll also order for you but if your looking for a 125 not drilled he normally has those in stock.

On a sale you can get a good deal at aquacorals. I know she usually does 75's for $99, I know the larger ones go on sale too but I never keep track of those prices

When on sale ask Jason at easy. I bought my 125 from him new. He beat aqua corals sale price by $20. I got such a good deal I can't tell you what I paid. These sales are usually 4x a year for a week or two. While I love 6" tanks the depth vs length on the 125 sucks.
I drilled my tank instead of a reef ready. It gave me more freedoms to aqua scape, plus I could go higher flow through my sump and put the drain pipes where I wanted them.

A 180 gal is a nice 6' tank.
