I need three holes drilled sometime in the near future. I don't want to DIY it. Is there anyone that offers this as a service? I will pay for your experience as peace of mind that It will go smoothly. Thanks.

What size holes do you need? Are you sure the glass isn't tempered? I've now drilled 13 tanks w/o issue including Cultivated Reefs quarantine system. I'm coming Monday to p/u the live rock and can certainly do it for you with that said, I have no liability policy..use me at your own risk, but historically speaking I know what I'm doing.

I'm not quite ready scoob. I would like to drill the tank that is currently housing livestock, so I need to wait until it's empty. It's a 220, so I can't imagine the glass is tempered. Holes would be along the top back of the tank.

Let me know when your ready, I'm getting asked to do this a lot lately so I'm probably going to invest in a set of diamond crusted holesaws. I come down that way regularly, I'm sure we can do a coral for hole trade or something.

I bought my bits and bulkheads off glass holes .com then practiced on a couple broken tanks its easier than you think the hardest part is resisting the urge to push the drill when you get near the end. I found to keep the edge chipping minimal on the holes I drill from the outside first only about 1/8 to 1/4 of the way through then drill from the inside out to finish the holes. you eliminate almost all flaking at the end of the hole. but I've only drilled like 5-6 tanks so I'm sure there are people in here than have more experience with it than me.

A little duct tape on the opposite side of the drilling prevented chips in the six holes i drilled.

What size bulk heads are you going to use. I just ordered some schedule 80 but they are bigger than my current holes tanks are full so I can't use them they are the super heavy duty ones. 3/4" threaded and 1 1/2" threaded
