I know not all of us keep fish in our reef systems, but to those who do, how oftn do you feed them. I'm kinda old school and tend to only feed every couple of days, but I'm wondering if this is the wrong move.

Twice a day and I've moved to almost exclusively frozen food. Imo it adds a lot less bull crap to the tank.

It really depends on what you have for fish, some require feeding more often than others

It really depends on what you have for fish, some require feeding more often than others X2. I feed my rays and other fish everyday, and usually skip one day a week.

It really depends on what you have for fish, some require feeding more often than others +1 this is very true. It also depends on your nutrients I run a low nutrients system so I feed a little more to male up for the low nutrients. Plus I'm trying to nurse a purple tang back to 100% so I've been feeding a lot more lately. Once he's better I can cut down on the feedings a little. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

I've always fed my tanks about 5-7 times a day (obviously not large amounts), notice I said tanks not fish, I probably feed the widest variety of foods you can imagine so I wont bother listing them I do a lot of homemade stuff as well and of course feeding that often takes time to build up to when my tanks are new they get fed 1-2 a day over the next 6 months or so I build up so i know everything is in balance and detritivores and other benthic fauna are there as a support system for the foods and waste clean up. of course I also do crazy water changes and tend to run more lb rock per gallon than most as well as skim the hell out of my tanks.
