I am helping set up a large coral tank for the college that I attend and I need suggestions on a reliable pump that pumps at least 3500 gph, anything that you guys can think of I would greatly appreciate.

I just turned my hammerhead on about a month ago. Awesome water flow and super quiet. Being a hybrid it will save you on power too.
Mine is hooked up to a 300 gallon tank.

I think you should go for the honda water pump as all honda products are reliable and powerful. It’ll definitely fulfil all the requirements of that college for which you are looking for recommendations on powerful water pump.

The issue with utility pumps over aquarium pumps is that many utility pumps are built specifically to move waste water and are not made out of aquarium safe materials.

Looking for another pump. At least 1500gph, and need head pressure for at least 15 feet. Let me know what you got.
