Please read if you get the chance. Matt Pederson, original breeder of the wild yet distinctively unique lighting maroon clownfish has some incredibly valid ideas and opinions about where our hobby and red aquarium industry is taking many fish species. He describes many of the same ideas and opinions I've had towards so called line bred and hybrid designer clownfish mutants. It's well worth the time to read. www.reef2rainforest.com/2015/03/27/coral-bonus-changing-our-clownfish-mindset-part-8/

Interesting article. I like his point of view especially coming from his work. You should see the hybrid fw rays that are being produced, mainly from Asia but also here in the U.S. Some are nice looking, but it's hard to beat what Mother Nature has produced.

great article.... I understand this is just another thread by matt slamming people about crossing the LM clown with the gold stripe... but I like the fact he mentioned the darwin clowns... someone asked me the other day why I wanted so much for my wild darwin, well this explains it pretty good... its easier to get a pure LM than it is to get a pure darwin, if you are breeding it makes all the difference
