Hey guys very excited to get my nuvo 16 set up, got a great deal on this tank and am looking forward to the extra room compared to my 4g reef, looking for ideas on LED lighting. I would like something that is sleek and controllable, I have been looking at the current orbit led so still open for change, have my other equipment good to go just in the process of getting dry rock and starting my aquascape.

A kessil over a 16 would certainly do it. I'd recoomend a A150w at 15000k. You can get a used one on eBay for under $150 shipped.

Tank is in the works and I am really enjoying the upgrade from my 4g pico!, the tank has fully cycled and I have added a mix of snails and hermit crabs for a CUC, I am trying to figure out how I am going to mount my evergrow d120 led over my tank, my ceiling is way to high and I would have to run like 10ft of cable and that inst worth it to me there must be an easier way. I thought of using pvc to make a hanger but not sure how much weight it can hold and to make it look nice, I also though of that electric conduit tubing and mount that to my dresser but I don't want to send extra money for the bending tool to only use it once. is that something thy could do at the store for you?? let me know if you have any ideas if all else fails i will probably just prop it on two pieces of wood and rest it on the to of my tank, just don't like the thought of extra stress on the glass.

Get an angle bracket or two, like the type for shelves

Are you in a house? Can you drill holes in the wall? I have a couple shelf brackets that hamg my lights... Works great and looks decent. Imo I didn't have studs in the right places so that's why I had to use a board. I doubt you would.... Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

I think I will run into the same problems the studs in the wrong spot. I would have to find a bracket that sticks out at least a foot or more from the wall.

Here is another option. Nice shelving unit from Lowes hung on the wall that provides a place to hang a light.

Your lights probably not that big so you only really need one. I got mine at a farm supply store and they're close to 16" Long.... I like Bruce's shelf idea as well. Gives you space for fish food and a couple additives or a few things to help make it blend in with the house. I've also seen people use TV mounts. They're kinda cool because then you can move the light wherever you want. Also easy to move the light for maintenance. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards
