I'm not sure by looking at pics alone but depending on the model, a lot of those Marineland LED setups are insufficient for keeping corals. The Long tentacle anemone is badly bleached and it could be a result of the cheap LED lighting. Either way your tank is looking pretty good, Keep it up!

Thanks Ryan, my next step is to get better replacement filters for my RO system then to get a better light set up. I read it was good for corals but when i put it on top of my tank i thought....uhhh, yeah, NO way is that gonna keep corals alive, Sooooo I guess im still gonna need a better light before I can do anything else...a set back but you cant do everything in one day in this business! I think i'm chipping away at it pretty good, ive only had it two months! As far as the LTA, he's freaking HUGE! (for an LTA that ive seen) he's prob 6-8 inches when fully opened! I put him in the middle of my tank last night and this is where he ended up this AM He's a wanderer! lol We decided to call "him" King Triton and our Condy is Ursula LOL I tried to give him a giant krill last night but he just kept letting it go. I'm not sure if it was because he hadn't settled himself yet or he just didnt like it? What do you guys feed your LTA?

If you are looking for a new light, check out reefbreeders.com. They have great LEDs at low prices that my corals grow great under. But other than that your system looks great! How big is the tank?

By the way Lindsey, You'll definitely want to spot feed that LTA some frozen fish food every few days to help it recover. They do get a lot bigger than that even. Mine fully stretched is about 10-12 inches in diameter and they are known for getting over 2ft. Tank is looking great by the way. We all know what a process it can be.

I was gonna ask what to feed him. I have him a big krill yesterday and he ate it but the last guy said he gave him feeder fish. The pet stores around here don't even sell Saltwater stuff so I have to drive an hour to get it. Can I feed them freshwater fish? Or from the seafood section of the grocery store? Thank you again for your help Ryan

Go to Hannaford's seafood section, thats where I buy most of the ingredients for my frozen food blend that I feed my fish. Stick with krill, small chopped bits of fresh salmon, haddock, raw shrimp, raw clams and scallops are all great fresh foods to prepare, freeze and keep long term feeding.I've never had good luck using any freshwater feeder fish. I've tried and every time the fish get rejected or swallowed and expelled soon after without proper digestion.

with some corals I have to put a container over it after I give them food because the fish will steal their food
nems can defend themselves except when clowns or damsels are around. with the exception of carpet nems they just might snack on your prized clown along with the piece of shrimp

Squid is another good food. Shrimp season starts on the 23rd. It's going to be short, so buy your shrimp when you can.

When i got my RBTA it was soooooooo small! I bought one scallop from hannaford and just kept cutting off very (i mean very) small pieces and just kept feeding it everyday for like 3 weeks.... It like doubled in size in just that short amount of time... once it was big enough i had no problems at all i could just feed the tank and it would grab the food itself... i still feed it pieces of silversides but only when i want!
