Picked this up today. 60 gallon 48x24x12. Plumbing it into the existing 57 Rimless...can't wait to start getting the collecting back in order.

very nice looking tank, were you able to work up a good deal or buy it brand new?

I've been thinking about taking mine down to convert to something like this. I love shallow tanks! Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

I ordered it from Easy. The stand he had kicking around out back. I was debating on this tank or ordering from GlassCages. Delivery from GC was the tipping point for me...was more expensive and I would have had to pick it up in Massachusetts. I'm really happy with the choice and glad I ponied up for the nicer stand. Now I just need a light. I'm thinking about the 48" Reedbreeder Photon.

Probably could do it but you'd have to mount it really high. They're really strong lights.... Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

The higher I can mount it the better. This is in a fish room so I don't need to worry about it being too high and blinding everyone. If I can keep it high and off the water then it will never be in my way.
I was thinking about a MH but I just don't want to deal with the heat. This room in an oversized closet so Imay be battling heat anyway.

So I made the call today and went with a Metal Halide T5 combo over the frag tank. Picked up a 36" Sunlight Supply Maristar for a pretty good price. I've been leaning towards a MH for the last few weeks. Just feel that it's the best light to grow SPS. I'll have to deal with heat but I don't think it will be too bad.
Now I'm just waiting on the sump to arrive. Once again, I flip flopped between building and buying. I ended up buying the Trigger Elite 36 Ruby.
