Quiet is nice but they will really have something if it can have a reverse flow mode.

I think they'd really have something if they brought it out at a decent price point! That'll never happen though....
Why would you want reverse flow mode?

With reverse flow it could do it's own push/pull flow in the tank. Like a servo motor that would have quick changes from one direction to another.

Your right and lots of people will go out and buy this one, probably at that same price point. I'd bet almost double the amount of people would buy them if the came out at 300$ or 350$.... but they want to be considered "High end" so they'll always keep that higher price point for new products.

The prices may come down quick if people get sticker shock and decide to try a maxpect gyre at less than half the price of two of their pumps. The gyre may not be as good; however, the price is hard to argue with.... $300 or around $900.

reverse flow sounds interesting... you never need to worry about crap in the impeller...
