Well here we go again my par 38 bulb had crapped out!! Bad luck with led lights on E bay. have had this happen on two different leds from two different sellers, any one have an idea on what to try next for under 50$ I am doing a zoa garden so I don't need anything crazy but would like to see some good colors. That stinks. I bet your a victim of the China/Hongkong light scams. Don't buy from there. Every time I do the crap out or fall apart. Or one light will go and knock out an entire strip. Junk lights for quality prices.

Ya, I have one. Actually pretty happy with it. Once in a while it will stick though. I just nudge it a little and it starts back up again. I think air bubbles are the culprit though. I think that will straighten out after I finish building my sump.

I have a 14 g with softies who like their chemicals. I do a min. Of a one g water change daily. If you think about it though, in nature, clean water is always coming in so I figure this is best. I have awesome filter media and am building a sump. Should improve things quite a bit. Have a couple of plants. There are a few different methods. Smaller the tank the harder it is.

It will cycle if you do it all at once. In all honesty? I'd borrow an empty tank, put the black sand in and some of your live rock, and some of your water and filter media in the new tank. Let the sand cycle until you know it's fully cycled and THAN take out all of the white and put in the black. This way it doesn't mix. Just like everything else in this hobby, patience is best. This would be the most stable way to do it. Just get all your parameters as close to the same as you can before you switch. It's tedious, but it is the way I would do it.
