I'll never understand why everyone that sells used fish equipment refuses to clean it before you post pics of it.

I'll never understand why everyone that sells used fish equipment refuses to clean it before you post pics of it. I completely agree! Happens everywhere though. I think 9 out of 10 things I've bought on this forum were fresh off the tank, Not even rinsed out. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

I always clean everything I sell, it looks better and you can get more money for it.

Cool looking tank, but can you imagine trying to aquascape it with that center overflow? I'd be tempted to set it up for fish only or for freshwater if it were me. Nice tank though.

I always clean everything I sell, it looks better and you can get more money for it. Yes you do, I've bought a few items from you and they were clean. Even LFS display used tanks that haven't been cleaned. Never understood it. How can you tell the condition of that tank in the craigslist add looking like that? Could be scratched to hell and you wouldn't know it until after you hauled it home and spent 2 hours cleaning it. Looks like it held sewage and someone is supposed to bring it into their home?

You can use that to your advantage and offer a lower price.

it came from a nursing home and all their fish died last week. So the maintenance guys broke it down, so they werent aquarists. But when I got there was all cleaned out. fairly scratched, but not too bad. I am raising tilapia fry or hybrid striped bass fry (if I can get my permits) in it. I know.... its a waste of a good reef tank, but I couldnt pass it up.
Super thick acrylic, even thicker than my lobster display tank.
It came with a sweet bio filter and pump. koralias, bunch of fake coral, and some old PC lights in the hood. Nice fan cooled hood. The stand is decent and has built in fans, vents, and lights. Overall, Im pretty stoked with it.

Awesome tank, and a great deal. Post some pics when you get it up and running.
