They seem to be a nice light with a lot of control, but I'm concerned that they are not bright enough for my 24" deep tank. I don't mind being limited to certain corals, for the most part. Maybe I should give the Orbit a try, and if it isn't bright enough I can always sell it. IMO I wouldn't go with the orbit, I would go with something like you linked to, then you should be able to keep most anything.

IMHO, complete control of light, fade in - fade out, moon phases, ext. ext....all over rated and not worth the time or money. I spent a lot of time and money getting a completely controllable light. Cool..yes. Worth the effort...not really. Just get a light that you can control the time on and off and dim. Everything else is fluff.

Ramp up, Ramp down and color spectrum shifts throughout the day and I'm good. I really love having complete control over every color channel separately though. Not just 2 channels blue and white. I'm the opposite. Two channels white/blue - that's all I need or want.

I like the slow ramp up for the fish mostly, it's sort of like waking up to the light getting turned on, I don't like it the fish probably don't either. That's my 2 cents

I'm the opposite. Two channels white/blue - that's all I need or want. It's nice to be able to make your colors exactly how you want them. Also if you think your red spectrum is to high, just turn down the red. You don't have to change your whole light fixture, Or bust out the soldering iron. I think lightning and clouds are stupid. I shut them completely off. I also like being able to adjust my intensity at 1% increments. Lunar phase and acclimation were biggies for me. I also like that I can sync them up with vortechs if I ever get them. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards
