Thanks, what I have currently are a 40B hardwater rockscape(fighting hair algae in this one), A 40B typical planted community, 55 semi aggressive community, 20L low light setup for Betta albimarginata, and a 29 for some Cryptoheros nanoluteus. 6gallon fluval edge that's supposed to be for shrimp.

Do you have any idea where your parameters are at? There's some corals you could put in at any time pretty much and they'd be very happy. I have a large colony of green palys that was one of my first corals and it loves dirty water.

I keep getting an error from the Hanna checker saying I've reversed my samples when I haven't. Maybe I'll tackle them with a fresher head tomorrow and it'll be all easy.

Witch phosphate Hanna checker do you have? I have the Ulr phosphorus checker. You shouldn't be getting that error message. Are you completing the test in the 2 mins? It used to shut off on me all the time and then you have to start all over. I get the powdered regent ready before I even turn it on. If you don't get it straightened out Hanna's tech support is pretty good and easy to work with.... tech@hannainst.com I just had to return a brand new Calcium checker because the resistor shorted. Quick turn around and they sent me a couple freebies just because Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Very nice tanks! I got started with freshwater tanks but never really accomplished anything like these tanks of yours. I had Bettas, Fancy Guppies and then Cichlids witch I got to breed and raise. Never did planted though figured a reef would be easier! Lol:) Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Yeah the directions are a little off in that they tell you to shake the reagent for two minutes and the checker shuts off in two minutes . What I did was use on of the sample tubes for an unreacted sample and premixed the other. I then zeroed the meter with the untreated sample and then ran the test with the reagent one. Both times it gave me the inverted sample error. Not sure what is going on, but I'm going to clean everything and try again today.

Yeah it only takes about 30 seconds to shake the regent in good. You don't want to shake to hard though because it's a very sensitive test so micro bubbles can cause high reading. Lastly it says not to use to separate vials and only to test with the sample you zero out at. Here's the video I wathen when I got it... HI 736 Phosphorus ULR Checker HC: side note: for the reagent I get all the powder to one corner and then cut off 2 sides (like a V) and then crease it down the middle to make a pouring spout almost.

Had a bit of a disaster. The AC110 that I'm using for a HOB fuge has "plastic canvas"(from a craft store) as a grate on the return waterfall to stop the chaeto from getting sucked into the DT. Well it got clogged enough to raise the water level inside the AC110 about it upper rim. The cover fits tight enough so water doesn't just pour out it's top, but it did seep out of the seam. Probably just a Tablespoon or two of water, but it was enough to make my EB8 quit working. The apex stuff is mounted on the wall behind the tank and water spilling from the tank itself wouldn't be a problem, but the AC hangs out far enough so it dripped down the wall onto it . Making an acrylic splash guard for it now. I'm going to take the EB8 apart and clean it and see if I can get it working again.
