never seen the ranco controller.... I use a blueline controller and it is great! the only thing I have noticed was set it if F and C....

Yes, that is the single stage unit that will operate your heaters. All you need to do is buy an extension cord that you will cut up to wire it up, very easy to do with many videos on YouTube. They also sell a dual stage unit that will do your heaters and a chiller if needed. They are a commercial grade HVAC part that is very dependable and very popular in the hobby for that reason. That is a great price on it too, cheaper then my cost at FW Webb. |

I bought one with 3 outlets on it, like a 6' cord....that way I could plug in my 2 heaters.
You don't want it too small of a gauge, but you don't need a huge outdoor cable either.
I still have it as my backup if anything happens to my Reef Angel.
