I currently have a gen 2 Radion Pro over my tank, and I'm thinking of adding a couple of 24" t5ho bulbs on each side of it as filler lighting. Has anyone done this, and what bulbs did you use?
The LED's do have some shadowing, so I want to add the t5's to take that away and get some lighting on the undersides of the corals. I am thinking of picking up a Miro 24" retro kit and a couple of ATI bulbs. Mounting one bulb in front and one behind the Radion, and only run them for about 6 hours a day during peak times.
I'm thinking about the ATI Coral Plus bulbs, they say they produce a 15k light color.
Any input or experience would be great.
Thanks,
Steve

I just ordered a retro fit kit for 2, 48" t5 bulbs, 37$ comes with ballast, 2 sets of waterproofend caps and clips to secure the bulbs. I only plan to use one to start with but I'm doing it for all the reasons you listed. With so much Sps I get way to much shadowing on the undersides of larger colonies. A lot of people I talked to said to use a reef Brite strip but I like the idea of having the best of both worlds! I had great coloration with my old ati bulbs.

I need reflectors since I have a custom canopy.
No link in your post, but I'm getting my setup from AquaCave

I got mine from Amazon and it was the cheapest one I could find on black Friday. I paid less then it's listed now. Now I have to get a couple Ati bulbs.
