Amphidods. You can collect your own along the coast if you are close by. They also live in brackish/ fresh water.

If you already have some in the tank and no fish in there yet then they're only going to multiply. Normally you only need them if your starting a tank with none or your fishys ate them all? Good information, not really sure the number I have living in either tank. I only have a yellow tang in one tank, and the other 5 fish are in the community tank. Unfortunately I have yet to see anything other than fish life in the communityt tank. I have looked everywhere since these were pointed out to me and have yet to see them in my community tank.

Just found this article and it has some pretty cool ideas. If you can create a safe haven for the pods in the tank they're in then you can easily transfer some back and forth as needed. It's actually an article for keeping a mandarin but could be used in any application. www.melevsreef.com/node/719Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

so last night I pulled out the pen light and found these two small things growning on on piece of rock. ITs very small probably too small to photograph. they are growing right beside one another the color is white, almost see through and they have little feeler things coming out of them. probaly five points the best way I can discribe it is if you were looking at it from the top looking down its like a circle with five spokes sticking out of it. they move with the water, they seem very soft as they float with whatever direction the water is moving around them. the only light they tank gets is indirect sun light in the morning and througout the day, not very bright after 11am-12pm. At night its getting a very poor wide spectrum t12, bulb is old from year ago. lol I think ive seen them in the back ground on sponge bob square paints lol. also its growing on rock that I cleaned not to long ago. Any one care to take a stab at it. they are still out now, I just checked so its not just a night thing, but I looked over every piece of rock for an hour last night with my pen light from out side the tanks and its the only two like this I see.

Pineapple sponge? I'm gonna assume it's not a feather duster because you already have those right?
