Hey I am back again with another question. so I take care of a 500 gallon reef tank at school. I have been tasked with building a Kalk dripper. do you guys have any ideas for this. I have made small one out of oxo food containers but nothing on the size that I have to build for this thing. I have been thinking about building an ATO system and pairing the Kalk with that. in addition to building this do you guys have a favorite brand of Kalk that you guys like to use.

Mrs. Wages pickling lime.
And on a kalk dripper for that size tank I would do one od these 15 to 20 gallon blue food storage drums with a removable PLASTIC lid, a IV drip set up and either a Tom's aqua lifter or a cheap Dosing pump.

Surprisingly this is actually cheaper then Mrs. Wages pickling lime. www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=28693I didn't do the math personally but Dong on Boston reefers says it's $4.00 a lb vs Mrs wages that's $4.50 a lb. Only difference I see is add on the shipping and it just about breaks even pricewise and with Mrs Wages I can run to Walmart, Hannaford or even my corner store and pick it up. I know Dr S&F has free shipping at 49.00 but I am finding that I am spending lots more money every time I order trying to hit the minimum for free shipping.

Understandable but with the prove of Gas now a days I guess it depends on how far you are from a Walmart or hardware store. Dr f&s has 5.95 shipping on that unless you get the biggest one. Plus now that I looked at it is actually cheaper then 4.00 a lb with it on sale. It's 3.40 a lb so it's only $1.50 more for 4 lbs with shipping. Very comparable though and I don't think you can go wrong with either. Mrs wages pickling lime 4.50 lb X 4 = $18 + tax lol = $18.90 Dr f&s kalk $3.40 lb X 4 = $13.60 + $5.95 = $19.55 0.65 cents Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Rays Market 2 miles away, walking distance Yeah lol.....we don't all have it that good. There's a store in my area that has it during pickling season but that's only about 2 months out of the year. Walmart is about 40 mins away from me. I like using 2 part better anyways but I've thought about switching a few times. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards
