I redid my ATO setup today, and my little AquaLifter is too small. I picked up a 14gal barrel to hold my top off water, so it sits on the floor. My sump is about 4' up from the floor, plus the run of pipe to get to it........the Aqualifter is rated at 30".
What are good dependable pumps to use for an ATO?

A Scientific grade Peristaltic Pump. they usually run 60.00 to 100.00 depending on if they are variable speed and how many heads it has. I can show you mine, I have a rough junker but it will give you an idea.

The pumps I am talking about put those pumps to shame these are made in the USA, industrial, made of steel, and made to run forever and use very little energy. They also have a head of 20 feet and do so with no issues.

I'm thinking more like a submersible pump......Rio, Mag, or similar....... something that can handle the head with low GPH.

I talked to the guy I work with who also has a Reef Angel setup with the ATO pump, and he said it works great.
So I just ordered one, should be here probably early next week.
