Yesterday was another store tour day below is a list of store hit.
Mikes in Manchester NH - Store is very clean with a good selection of dry goods, tanks were clean and looked good. The store has a good selection of fresh water fish and plants, a good amount of saltwater tanks but the light on inhabitants but all fish looked very healthy. Mikes also has a good selection of reptiles and supplies.
Manchester Petco - Probably the best Petco I have been to yet, tanks were packed, clean and everything looked healthy. There were also tons of clearance items such as back pack skimmers marked down from 199 to 99.
Aqua Addicts - The new location is coming along, The store has a good stock of dry goods, Marine life was light as they are just getting things up and running. They are having a great clearance on in stock tank and stand combos trying to make floor space..
Oceans in glass - as usual clean, large selection of dry goods, great selection of fish, Very honest as we were looking at a blue linckia star fish and the one they had, had a mark on the underside of one of the legs and the sales person advised not to get it. Frozen food, they have it, tons of it.
Jays - large selection of dry goods, great selection of corals, and marine life, clean. Jays also have a large selection of fresh water life also. Jays redid the middle section of tanks and it had a good amount of fish in that area including some oddities such as flounders and walking bat fish. Jays had an awesome group buy on I.O. and R.C. Salt.
Woburn Petco - They removed one section of tanks From the salt water section limiting the amount of livestock. This store has been hit or miss as for health of the fish and yesterday was a day not to buy, lots of white speckled fish.
Dongs - the usual , clean, frags, frags, frags, and Dong too
Love the Reef - Stocked with Frags and unusual corals, clean, good selection of dry goods, lots of unusual wrasses and fish this time. It is always a pleasure talking to Archit. The front frag tank is filled with stunning colorful frags.
Unique aquaria - Good selection of usable dry goods, every time I need something and I don't see it I ask and they have it. A large selection of corals and Frags as well as a large selection of fish. The back room frag tanks are stocked with stunning colorful frags and corals, the front tanks are stocked with the same as well. It amazes people with the rare and unusual fish Brandon continuously brings in, Yesterday there had to be at least 15 different fish that he had that were rarely seen in shops. I believe I seen clown triggers below 40.00
I will be doing another short run next week or the week after and any one interested in jumping aboard is welcome to come.
One side note, I finally had a good meal at Sonic's. The vanilla coke and the Bacon, Cheese covered hot dog was just, OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
