lol so why did they put these on the endangered list? sounds like some pencil pusher is trying to make a name for themselves... how would they ever regulate this? to get the exact species known you need to see the skeleton of the stony coral... so if I collect, sell, or give away a piece of coral, some scientist is going to kill it to see if I broke the law?

I wish someone would write an article on how because Australia found billions of gallons of oil they are going to dredge a couple miles of the great barrier reef to accommodate the super tankers that will haul the oil. not to mention the runoff water from these tankers at the docks, or not if but when they have a spill....

My understanding from another article is that it is supposed to impose more regulations, oversight and accountability to projects that hurt reefs such as the recent disaster in Miami and the dredging in Australia.

I believe even if it's "prohibited" they still allow you to trade and sell if it's a proven paper documented aqua-cultured piece? Pretty soon selling some corals will be worse then papered dogs. Could be way off on that though that's just what I remember reading on an older article. Also I remember it said that if sale or trade is prohibited you can still "give"pieces away... You give me a piece and I give you a piece, free of charge of course!
