As soon as I get a new tank this is a top list priority. The beginning of an ick free tank!!!

That's a beautiful fish. I love the Achilles tang but I feel anyone with money have one. That's why I don't have one

I have always wanted an achillies but going by everything I read, they should be left in the ocean...
also if you want ich free stay away from tangs... IMO- these tangs all have ich living inside them once they are stressed it shows up... (just like powder blue/brown tangs)

Achillies/gold rim tang hybrid. Divers den has been getting them quite frequently lately. Cool looking fish.

isnt a "gold rim" just a newer name for powder brown? or is it another name for a white cheek?

Gold rim aka white cheek tang. Very similar to a powder brown but more like an achillies.

Gold rim aka white cheek tang. Very similar to a powder brown but more like an achillies. I love the Achilles and white cheek but mixed together! Amazing... hopefully the price goes down someday.

Achilles and/or White Cheek...get huge (8” without tail) and are very aggressive and high strung.
Minimum 200 gallons with lots of open water.
My experience is that they are disease prone when stressed and these guys - along with powder blue/brown - are easily stressed...because of their own aggression.
BTW - I have 2 Tomasi (in separate tanks) and a Scopas tang. Never had ich. But these guys are so much more relaxed than most tangs...

+1 aggression and disease is why I went with a half black mimic tang,I got lucky and the one I got was a hybrid! mine came in wild with no qt beyond whatever the collector did. I never saw a speck on the fish and one of the only tangs I have seen listed as peaceful...
