Loved it.... this is me in a nut shell. I've just decided not to express my ideas anymore because I don't like to have them shot down. Not that I don't try them anyways:)

Fun article. Several of the categories apply to me. Still plan to make that automated refrigerated feeding system.
I especially like the "Ill Advised Ideas" category. These are the ones where I know I'll get away with it BECAUSE I know better. My most recent example was 5 angels in a 75...Navarchus, Coral Beauty, Flame, Pygmy, & Lemonpeel. It actually kind of worked for a year or so. I had lots of structure in the tank. I added all the angels at once. The Navarchus kept the Dwarfs relatively calm...if they acted up he would set them straight. Ultimately though it didn't work. The Lemonpeel got a taste for coral and the Coral Beauty watched and learned. The Pygmy was a perpetual basket case, swimming loops and running himself ragged. The Navarchus flat-out outgrew the tank.
It's fun to experiment in this way but you also have to be prepared for things to go wrong, short or long term. Ultimately I got rid of the angels one by one. The last angel was the Pygmy. Once all the other angels were gone he calmed down and was a great little fish...and then he decided giant clams were tasty. Sigh...
