How many of you have open tops on your tanks?

The last five reef tanks I've had were and are open top. Rarely ever had a fish jump.

I've got a glass top on my tank now, but am thinking about taking it off when I get the new lights going. I do have a moray, so will have to be careful. I may use those plastic strips that come with the glass tops and hoods to make a lip around the top of the tank, like a euro brace I guess.

Good idea. I have used it in the past with a smaller tank, but noticed it bows after awhile. I've got an article somewhere that says it helps focus the light from above into the aquarium (depending on which side of the egg crate is facing down).

I have a open top on my tank. Never had any issues. As long as you have a overflow to get all the dust and little hairs of the water. Before my overflow it was kinda bad. Never had a fish jump out but I keep my water about two inches from the top.
