Just like to get a few different ideas and opinions on the next ways to clean dry or dead rock? Ideally I'd like it to be completely nutrient free so I'm considering bleaching it and letting it sit in the sin awhile but thinking that won't remove the phosphates? Is there a quick way to be sure your dry rock is phosphate and doc free? Ty for your time and help as always:)

I used the bleach then muriatic acid bath method. I still had to let my rock soak in a lanthanum chloride/ RO bath for two months until the tests came back at 0. The only way to be sure is to soak the rock in water for a week and see what levels you have. Low levels may only require lanthanum.

I got some rock covered in red and green turf algae. I ended up taking it our back, set it up on a thick plate of steel and sand blasted them. Worked fast and awesome. Just had to blow out all the sand afterward which actually was way easier than I had anticipated and I followed that by rinsing them really well.

I'm pretty sure you can get either at lows or Home Depot in the pool section. Least that's what I've been told.

Muriatic. Acid is NOT plant food (at least the stuff used for this process), it's a very dangerous acid containing about 35% Hydrochloric acid. Basically, it will burn VERY badly and requires gloves and eye protection for safety. I burned my arm with one drop of diluted solution. Mix muriatic 10-1 with water, it will still be very dangerous enough to burn at that ratio. The mixture can be brought to a neutral state with a bunch of baking soda. Please research this thoroughly before trying, it's dangerous.
Lanthanum chloride I bought from Amazon. I'll give you some for free. I paid $50.00 for a bottle of the commercial product called Sea Clear.
