Some may already know this but Jabao has come out with a new line of wave makers to succeed their WP wave pump line that has been incredibly popular. The new RW propeller pumps are a revised, improved and updated version of the wp pumps that many of us are currently using. Here's an article about some of their new products. Check em out! reefbuilders.com/2014/06/01/hands-jebaos-rw-series-propellor-pump-dosing-system/

They have become " sort of wireless " which is useless and the price has almost doubled.

I was fully planning on saving and buying a couple of vortech mp40 pumps but I went out on a limb and bought one of the jabao wp40s from Greg at the last frag swap a dive been extreamly impressed with it. The price was a lot easier to manage too,

When the Jebao 40 came out they were 47.00 and were released on fish street, that was before people found out about them. Ryan you are correct they went up 20 bucks a piece.

Ok, I agree to disagree because were both technically right. I remember fishstreet offering them for sale and shipment directly out of china for that price. I'm talking about the price of the pumps once they were offered direct from retail vendors here in the states. Granted you can still find them all cheaper used or on eBay or cheaper still if you get them in a group buy. Regardless they could be $150 each and I think they'd still be a good value for the product overall. But of course, we all want the best quality for the cheapest cost though.
The whole wireless thing is a bit misleading with any product in this hobby. Even my radions have the "wireless" label attached to them. What it comes down to is very few products in this hobby are truly wireless. With these pumps they only wireless aspect is how they communicate between controllers. One controller can wirelessly control up to eight pumps much the same way that my ecotech radions can all be controlled by one light.

There awesome pumps at a great price. The can't wait till you buy one Ryan so I can find out if they're noisy:) lol I've read a couple places the propeller is kind of noisy? If they mean as noisy as the wp series then I'm fine with that because I really don't think they're that load. I've heard others say the are. Opinions opinions!;D

Everything I've read and seen on YouTube says they're quieter than the wp series

We sell the RW-8, RW-15, the RW-20, and soon the RW-4 as well. I have used both the 15 and the 8 and have the 8 currently running on a frag tank. Very quiet, very powerful, and more refined control. For the money they are great pumps.
