Ro/Di only wastes water if your on city water and you have to pay for it? A lot of people save their waste water for drinking, cooking and watering plants? Ect ect. It's really not waste water anyways it's Ro water that's normally around 2-8 tds witch is great for most other water needs. Some people use just Ro water? Witch would be better then just water conditioner?

No RODI unit for me..........been there done that......not worth it. Waste 4 gallons of water for 1 gallon of water.....not happening. Sold it and not going back. 4 gallons to make 1 I dont think you had it hooked up right.... with my rodi it takes under 2g to make 1g and I have high tds! "not worth it"? for me spending $1000's on your tank then add poisonous chemicals into it is not worth it and not happening..... lmao my well water before the ro has tds of 240 and a tds of 7-9 after rodi that means waste water has tds of 230+ seems high but it depends on what the tds is. my water it is iron. you need to send out a sample of water and get it tested. even if you have a tds of 5 out of a well if that 5ppm is arsenic or mercury you wont want to add it to your tank or drink it my parents have town water with a tds of around 22 not bad until you test it and find out the 22ppm is mostly chlorine and fluoride... last week I hooked up a self flushing whole house water filter, I turned the well tank up to 65-70 psi and changed all my ro filters now I have tds of 50-60 and 0 out of the rodi.

My waste water comes out after the membrane before the Di? So it's normally between 1-3 tds.
