I think Easy has some of those at their store. A guy I work with has one on his tank and he seems to like it.

I had the 36" on my 30. It was great. Super convenient with the ramp and timers. I had nice growth, better now with better lights, but it was good. Only issue I had was the beam of light was narrow front to back, so 1 wasn't really enough for the 12" front to back tank. And fosters had mine like $65 less FYI. Overall I think it's a great light

well it would work with either of mine since they are both 4 foot. my 55g is the reef so it should get good coverage and my 120g is the fowlr so it is not very light dependent anyway. the lights i have now lose the programming if there is a power failure and will not come on until reprogrammed. they are kind of a pain to program and my wife would not be able to do it. so far Ive been home during outages and been able to get them running again. Im gone a lot with my job. I was wondering if these lights were the same. Also wondering if apex controllers lose there programming with power loss.

There shouldn't be any programming loss with power loss...........it's all stored on internal memory.

You can set the apex to retain all programming in power outages. Everything is saved online and when power kicks back on everything resets back to normal. But if your lights have to be independently programmed after an outrage then the apex wouldn't really solve this issue on your lights. Unless they're lights that can be connected to your apex?kessil, radions and hopefully soon the cheap Chinese leds On the issue of your lights if I was you I'd look into the battery back up power strips people use for computers, they normally only allow you a short amount of time but if you was only running 1 set of lights off it depending witch one you choose it could last awhile? Lights wouldn't even turn off. www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842102070 one like this would keep your lights and return pump on for maybe a half hour? This is great for short power losses witch is most common and if you loose power for a day or two you'd probably be home by then anyways. Imho I wouldn't even consider using these lights on a full reef tank but that's just me. A softie tank yes, smaller tank maybe? 55g full reef tank probably not. They call it dual day light, dual actinic but don't list the actual color of the leds. At least on the pet co web site there wasn't even a wattage listed? What are your current lights on your reef tank?

I just found the wattage and it's only 46 watts for the biggest fixture! 46"-60" light. That's less then 1 watt power gallon. www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=27873 You can only run lights on the apex that have 0-10v analog dimming. You can't hook just any light to the apex unfortunately. You can be an expert electrician and still can only do what the apex is capable of;D

you can also rewire different colors to independent drivers (drivers=$20) so as to separately dim each color

I can't open the file you posted for some reason? but like I said the vdm only dims 0-10v analog dimming drivers as far as I know. Maybe you found a way Idk but there's a couple people that know there stuff on the Neptune forum and that's what they say. 0-10v analog only
