So, I'll be going on a two week vacation with the family to Florida (visiting family) soon. How do you all handle tank logistics while away?

Hire a knowledgeable tank sitter. Find another hobbiest you can sit for and just swap sittings.

Do you have a ato, dosing pumps, automatic lights, auto feeder and your skimmer hooked to a waste collection container? Also a controller to monitor these things just in case? If you're probably going to need a tank sitter. Someone local that knows reef tanks you trust to take care of things? The other option would be to pay a aquarium cleaning service, like easy aquariums or maybe Stephen who also maintains fish tanks? Idk if he does tanks for just vacations though?

I do have an ATO and programmable lights. I only dose kalk through my ATO. I don't have a controller. We do have someone staying at the house but they don't have any aquarium knowledge. I think the tank will be fine without a water change for two weeks - it's a 29 gallon with coral and only 1 fish at the moment. I guess I could mix up a large batch of top off and mix it with kalk to last two weeks. It would be nice to have an experienced reefer take a look every now and then though.
