Getting ready to leave my tank alone for the first time. I mean my wife will be here but I'm going to syracuse on business all week. I keep running through all the little things that could go wrong. Auto feeder, timers, ato, fresh water change all set, but still can't help but think I will come home to a crashed tank.

good luck! write daily tank chores on paper so there is no questions. have someone on call if there is a problem... last year I went to illinois for a week second day gone a powerhead fell and covered 1/2 my corals with 2" of sand... if a semi-knowledgeable friend wouldnt have been ready to come help the wifey I would have lost a bunch not to mention all the nasties it put in the water stirring 5" of sand bed
(expect the worst hope for the best)

that is why i try to have everything automatic cuz i go outta state for a week a lot. on one occasion my overflow box started to lose siphon and she just happened to notice water rising and called me. for the life of me i could not talk the wife thru priming it over the phone and was afraid she would lose prime all together if she tried and flood the house. had to tell her to shut off main pump till i got home 2 days later cuz water was bout to crest tank. I lost two my favorite fish by time got home. got up this morning and noticed two more my favorite fish were dead and I was home this time.Hope all goes well with yours

A remotely accessible IP camera has saved my tank...and my marriage...multiple times.

Everything survived. One of the frags ended up in the sand somehow but other than that.
